"Thanks for all you do" Card and instructions
Approx. size 4 1/4 x 4 3/4
(A better camera is on the top of my wish list, please bear with me.)
For this card I used Totally Tan card stock by "Worldwin", Decorative Blossom corner die HCD 729 by "Heartfelt Creations", from the Sweet Surrender line I used 1 sheet from the 8x8 paper pad, 1 round doily and 1 chipboard key all by "g.c.d. studios", spun sugar and wine berry smooch spritz and Midnight Archival Dye ink pad by "Clearsnap", Holographic embossing powder and Tea Dye Distress ink by "Ranger", Heart Attack distressing tool by "We R Memory Keepers", a sentiment stamps from woodland inspirations by "Technique Tuesday" and from So Much Thanks by "Fiskars". You will also need die cutting machine, a heat tool, adhesive, brayer, piece of ribbon, button, and a safety pin charm.
From the Totally Tan card stock, line up your die as pictured and cut, be sure to use wax paper for this one. then score and fold in the center.
Using the Smooch Spritz mist the 2 colors onto the front of card, make sure the card is open and laying flat so the ink won't get on the inside, (you could lay a piece of paper over the back half if you didn't want ink on that side, I liked it on the back so this is what I did).
Stamp your sentiment on the front of card, (you can see I have the ribbon attached, but I decided to emboss so I removed the ribbon).
Using your brayer and glue pad, roll glue on to the front only of the card, the easiest way is to close the card and slide a piece of scratch paper between the 2 layers so the glue won't get on the inside of the card. once you have a good coverage of glue, cover the entire portion with embossing powder, tap off and heat emboss.
(After spraying, drying and embossing your card may be getting warped,
if so you can put it between 2 plates and run it through your die
cutting machine to flatten it back out.)
Add your embellishments to the front, be sure wrap the ribbon all the way around the fron of the card so you won't cave cut ends to hide on the inside. I also added the chipboard key after I spray and distressed it to match the card.
On the inside, I cut a piece from the 8x8 paper to fit inside leaving a border, I roughed the edges using the heart attack and inked with tea dye, I cut a doily into 1/4 and spritzed with spun sugar then stamped with sentiment and attached with adhesive.
TA-DA!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Rhonda! embossing like this is one of my favorite techniques. so much softer then regular glitter paper i think.
