not all cards are created equal!

ugh! ok first things first, I have gotten nothing done because I decided to rearrange some scrap furniture, can anyone guess how much a giant metal rack with approx 8,000 sheets of paper and card stock weigh? well, you guessed it, just more then enough to cause serious injury to my back! ok, enough about my stupidity there, I am getting enough "I told you so's" from my DH. so between being too hurt to move or to medicated to function, I cannot get a single card finished. I would love to blame it all on my back, but the truth is I started the card the night before, couldn't make it work for me and decided to sleep on it. Come morning... still nothing, so I thought I'd break my back... hhhmmm. I almost just skipped the whole Blog idea all together, but decided "what the heck?" they can't all be winners right? so I'm just gonna show you my card don't!

ok, not a terrible start, should have dry embossed the "spine" maybe inked the edges or just chosen a different paper... still, add a big fancy embellished word phrase to it and no one will notice right? huh yeah right...

the inside...sigh... I am truly a scrapbooker at heart, give me a nice big 12x12 any day, the more room the better right? no!...just, no! cute idea though isn't it? decorate it up add photos in the pockets maybe some super pretty giant tags that can double as book marks and make it a real nice gift... well, that was the plan. this is where I took some time to think on it, see everyone is getting ready for Christmas and getting that big jump on making their own cards, what a great idea! I am so jumping on that band wagon. Problem is I don't really like Christmas (ssshhh), and I don't have much scrapbook paper to choose from. (although I did get my order in for the "I want it all" Christmas card collection, it's perfect for me, those cards practically make themselves!) Anyways, this is where my card quickly took a nose dive towards the burn pile... here it is, the point of no return...

Add some coordinating paper to the inside? hmmmmm probably not a great combo huh?

Add some die cuts maybe? ugh

maybe some tags would help? but not those...

I could add pictures instead? Pics of the kids make every thing better....Riiiiight?!

ok, maybe both?

Well, this is where i gave up! It just won't work, not from lack of trying as you can see... so, with a heavy sigh and a lot of mumbling under my breath i went back to lay on my heating pad and take some more pain meds ... so, now you know. After scrapping for 10 yrs, I to can have a bad day!

...this is what i was doing when I had the bright idea of blogging my one of many scrap fiasco's

practicing with my copic's, may not be great, but it is relaxing and since she doesn't have a purpose yet, there is no stress or pressure... just coloring for the joy of it. What a nice change :)

If any of you have a "scrap don't" you would care to share, please do! I could use a good laugh about now... lol! thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrapping!!!
